On this project we were asked to create an open plan kitchen/ living area. The property had an existing extension that was old and not fit for purpose. We worked closely with our clients to come up with a design that not only solved the brief but also looked amazing.
Key features we incorporated on this project included using a beautiful feature brick that has all the charm of a reclaimed brick with a handmade textured finish and heavy rumbled edges. We also used anthracite facia and soffit which complimented the huge aluminium anthracite sliding doors that lead onto the garden. We also added an overhang to the soffit detail which allowed us to incorporate down lighters which gives this build an amazing feel at night whilst offering protection from the rain and shade from the sun.
This build included some extensive structual alterations to the internals of this property. We removed a large chimney breast and internal walls to create an amazing open plan kitchen living area. By repositioning the kitchen from one side of the property to the other it allowed us to incorporate a dining table and seating area. Also included in this build was a utility room and downstairs WC.
